Lansdowne Crescent, Worcester

Movements and partial collapse of a 130 year old brick retaining wall at Lansdowne Crescent in Worcester had led to partial closure of the road. Previous attempts to prop the wall had failed and in places the wall appeared to be moving away from the stationary buttresses. Conservation requirements added significantly to the challenge of the task of stabilisation.

North Hill Road, Aberystwyth

Design and installed permanent soil nails to stabilise an existing distressed masonry wall. The existing wall was reduced in height and the ground behind soil nailed, in small vertical lifts. Upon completion of the nailing the wall was rebuilt.

Great Park Phase II, Birmingham

An economic retaining solution was needed for the site boundary which was more than 300m long and turned through 90° in three places. The wall also had to retain more than 9m of ground at various points along its length.
