Phi Group has now completed Phase 1 of the Design, Supply & Construction of a Permacrib timber crib retaining wall at the former Panteg Steelworks, Pontypool for Persimmon Homes.

The existing sight topography made it necessary for levels to be significantly raised to create a level plateau to maximize development area. After early consultation with Persimmon Homes and several successful projects, Phi Group proposed the use of its Permacrib timber crib retaining wall system. The cost effectiveness, speed of construction and aesthetically pleasing nature of the Permacrib system, make the Permacrib a natural choice for residential projects. It is also the only timber crib system to have BBA Approval, with a guaranteed minimum design life of 60 years.

Phi Group was employed by the Cuddy Group to carry out the Design, Supply and Installation of the Permacrib wall. As you can see from the pictures, it is an impressive structure that required ‘double depth’ Permacrib to retain the proposed heights.
